Is it just me, or does it seem like people in their 20's don't actually go on dates anymore? When you think about going on a date, you'd normally think of going out to a nice dinner, having drinks, perhaps even going to see a movie, right? Well, let's think about this. Think about it really, really hard. When was the last time you've actually done that? Sure, it happens to Katherine Heigl in the movies, or Mindy Kaling on TV ... but in the real world, things are a lot different. Turns out, a lot of guys don't want to spend money on taking girls out, especially if it's a first date. And you know what - and don't hate me - but I don't blame them! Going out to dinner, drinks, movies, etc ... well let's just say, at the end of the night, that could cost a guy a couple hundred bucks! And I'm sorry, but unless you have a cash flow like Donald Trump, or at least boyfriend/ girlfriend ... what guy would spend hundreds of dollars on taking a girl out when they're not even serious? Yes, it seems like everything is so un-romantic in your 20's. But even though we tend to blame it on the guys, it's not always their fault. It seems like girls have become more accepting to it and aren't always looking for romance. We're also looking for companionship. Going out to a bar and getting a drink and having a good time. Getting a cup of coffee. Watching a movie. Or just simply, a hook up. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
